Three years after its publication, David Servan-Shreiber offers us a new edition of "Anticancer". Why and what are the big news?
Why this new edition of Anticancer?
David Servan-Schreiber: The new edition is an update. I've realized over the conferences and meetings with people that readers use this book as a textbook of medicine for personal use. They consult to put into practice for themselves a way of life, an approach to health and to strengthen their anti-cancer defenses.
In parallel, I would like very knowledgeable in this area and so I took knowledge from many studies that have been published since. With all these new clinical and scientific evidence, my book was necessarily less and less a day, which is a major drawback for a manual. So I started this new version.
Can we expect a third version or expect a new book?
David Servan-Schreiber: Maintain this book with new editions as necessary is my intention, so he continues to play its role as a practical manual for daily health.
The next edition is therefore highly unlikely in 3-4 years, time to publication of new studies.
Meanwhile, I am currently working on a cookbook for making anti-cancer diet more concrete and practical. Those revenues should be affordable for people who have no experience in the kitchen, and in reasonable budget. These are not recipes "haute cuisine" to impress the occasional guest, but healthy recipes simple, everyday, most achievable within 30 minutes.
