Melanoma, skin cancer, may be the result of prolonged sun exposure, early or too brutal. But the sun can also have other unpleasant consequences, especially for people treated with certain drugs.

Melanoma, the skin cancer can become a real global problem

Australia, sunny country, holds the world record of melanoma, which is thus among the most common cancers.

The number of new cases is four times higher than in Canada and approximately five times higher than in European countries. In France, the incidence is around 8 melanoma per 100,000 inhabitants. But this figure tends to double every ten years.

Dermatologists sounded the alarm and, for some, if it does not reverse the trend, melanoma is the leading cause of mortality among children under age 45 in the years 2030-2040.
