Academy of Charter Schools is located just to the east of Bradburn.  While it is a public school, it has an exceptionally long waiting list and is a core knowledge school.  Kids from the neighborhood attend Academy and parents are happy with it also.  Neighbors advise to check out both schools and decide which school is the best fit for your child.  The home middle school is Westlake, which is a 10 minute drive from Bradburn.  The high school is Legacy which is in Broomfield and a 10-15 minute drive from the neighborhood.  Busing is available for both home middle and high school.

There are plans for a future elementary school within the Bradburn neighborhood itself.  The parcel of land is on the southwest side of the neighborhood adjacent of city land which is slated for a future park.  There is an agreement between the school district and the city that when the new school is built, the city will build the adjacent park at the same time.  Originally the school district told Bradburn residents the elementary school in the neighborhood would start construction is 2006 to open in 2007.  Right before construction was to begin in 2006, the school district informed residents that they would not be building Bradburn Elementary because there were not enough children to support the construction of a new school, so the district would build the new elementary on the other side of the district.  Bradburn residents were very disappointed.  The district now says they will still build a school in Bradburn, but they don’t know when.   

There are several school districts with choice (you can transfer into from anywhere in Colorado) close to Bradburn including Jeffco and Boulder Valley.  There are two gifted magnet schools within 15-20 minutes drive of the neighborhood, Stargate a charter school, and Hulstrom elementary which is a gifted magnet school.

Childcare Facilities

There is a daycare/preschool facility in the neighborhood itself, the Goddard School.  It is a 5-10 minute walk from every home in Bradburn.  There are two other daycare facilities very close to Bradburn, The Academy, which is a 5 mnute drive, and the Primrose School which also a 5 minute drive.  There is a Montessori school within 15 minutes drive, and several other preschool programs, including the City of Westminster which many residents use and recommend.
