Simply stated, there isn’t a neighborhood in all of Denver than can compete with Stapleton on the number/size/quality of parks, playgrounds and open spaces offered here.
Around 30% of the neighborhood is dedicated to open space, the crown jewel of this is the new 80 acre Central Park that runs through, well, the center. Stapleton has an extensive sidewalk and bike trail system that will eventually connect to the 17,000 acre Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge which is to Stapleton’s northeast. There are pocket parks and larger parks all throughout the neighborhood—they are everywhere. ![]() There are many great playgrounds throughout Stapleton There are great, fun playgrounds with inventive and new playground equipment sprinkled through the entire neighborhood. Stapleton is home to the coolest playground we’ve ever seen anywhere in Central Park. It has these giant purple psychedelic foam mounds jutting up out of Astroturf, tons of play equipment, special climbing rocks and is just well, really really neato—we’ve never seen anything like it. ![]() This million dollar playground is great for kids! Stapleton has two community pools currently, one with a “zero entry”, a gradually sloping entry which is great for kids.
