Stapleton has many shopping areas in the neighborhood.  Stapleton is also home to significant office space, in just about every configuration imaginable.

One is located on the south west edge of Stapleton and is essentially a standard strip mall/big box development.  It’s not very pedestrian friendly but does contain essential services such as a Home Depot, Wal-Mart, and a grocery store—King Soopers.  A more human scaled pedestrian oriented town center is just south of the big box section called the East 29th Street Town Center.  This town center contains several restaurants—Udi’s is a breakfast and lunch place that is excellent and deserves special mention—and also contains shops such as a cute little florist and a wine shop, among others.  This town center is walkable from some Stapleton homes, and easy distance by bike from almost all.

Another shopping area in Stapleton is just north of I-70 called the Shops at Northfield Stapleton.  This area is a pedestrian oriented lifestyle center, essentially an outdoor mall.  Just north of that area will be more residential development, more parks, more Stapleton.

A second town center, the Eastbridge Town Center is set to open in 2008, and two additional town centers are planned in the north section of the neighborhood.  Although Stapleton may be large, the developer recognizes the need for people to be in walking and biking distance of retail and restaurants, and so has interspersed small town centers throughout the development.  Once these are complete, many more homes will be in walking distance of these amenities.
