Born from a personal need.
Tanifornia was born from a personal problem. Its founder had sensitive, freckled skin that reacted to many of the traditional tanning products on the market.
Drawing on the natural formulation philosophy she had developed while building Tree Lotion, she set out to create something gentler. Coffee became the unexpected hero of the formula — thoughtfully incorporated to help create a warm, natural-looking bronze without the harsh ingredients she had reacted to.
Even the name was a labor of love: “Tanifornia” was coined by the founder's husband, capturing the sun-kissed California spirit of the brand.
Today, Tanifornia is proudly part of the Tree Lotion family of products, sharing the same commitment to clean, botanical, thoughtfully crafted skin wellness.
