Tai Chi with Nelson Ng
Join us for Tai Chi sessions with Nelson Ng! In this weekly class, participants will learn the basic principles and the philosophy behind Tai Chi, gaining flexibility and a better sense of balance through slow, gentle movement. Nelson started learning Chen's Tai Chi in 1989 from Master Gene Chen, who was a disciple of Grandmaster Feng ZhiQiang. Nelson has been teaching since 2014. This class is free and open to beginners as well as those who have previous Tai Chi experience. People of all ages are welcome. You must sign in upon arrival.

Baby Dragon Boat Festival
Note: This program has been rescheduled to Saturday, July 18 from Saturday, June 20. Celebrate this year's Dragon Boat Festival with some family fun! Families with babies and toddlers are invited to decorate their own cardboard "dragon boat" and then wear them for a race around our patio. Registration is required for each child attending. We will provide cardboard boxes and decorations for registered attendees. Please arrive on time. Unclaimed supplies will be given to walk-in attendees 15 minutes after the program start time.

Happy Birds
Join us at the Mitchell Park Community Center in the El Palo Alto Room for a performance from the Happy Birds! Amazing and colorful parrots will perform over 25 tricks during this exciting bird show! Ed and Julie Cardoza’s macaws, cockatoos, and amazons have been featured on The Tonight Show, Pet Star, The Ellen show and even the Guinness Book of World Records. This program is part of our 2026 Summer Reading Program: Oceans of Possibilities. Don't forget to sign up for the free program to earn badges and prizes! Mindfulness Meditation
Come and improve your mental and physical health in mindfulness meditation sessions led by Phuong Pham. Each session is 30 minutes of sitting meditation and 15 minutes of releasing meditation followed by 15 minutes of group sharing and Q&A. It is open to all levels of experience and no registration is required. Participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mats and/or meditation cushions. Chairs are available for those who do not bring them. Phuong is a Buddhist nun experienced in leading mindfulness meditation. After each milestone (8 hours/8 books), children or teens under 18 can spin our prize wheel to win mini toy cars, pencils, stickers, animal squishy toys, and more! Come back to spin the wheel for a prize each time you pass a new milestone (8 hours/8 books) until you reach the finish line (64 hours/64 books)!
